ABOUT THE ROLE:
A private Family Office, headquartered in Bellevue, Washington is seeking a hands-on Finance & Accounting Manager to manage a growing asset portfolio of real estate and multi-strategy operating investments. This role will play a key part in shaping internal systems, driving financial best practices, and making a long-term impact in a highly trusted environment.
This position will oversee all core accounting and finance functions, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting across multiple entities and operating structures. Additionally, you will coordinate closely with the organization’s outsourced accounting, tax, and estate planning service providers. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, strategic judgment, and thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with broad exposure to private investments, real estate, and financial operations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITES:
Direct all accounting and finance operations across the family office, real estate holdings, and investment entities.
Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, accruals, intercompany allocations, and consolidated reporting.
Manage financial reporting and budgeting processes, produce consolidated financial reporting, budget analysis, and variance reports for actionable financial insights and decision making to senior leadership.
Deliver quarterly and annual consolidated financials and custom reporting packages to senior leadership, principals and stakeholders.
Oversee and coordinate outsourced vendors for accounting, tax, estate and trust reporting, and accounting compliance.
Analyze and code expenses accurately across entities; ensure cost allocations adhere to agreements and strategic intent.
Develop internal controls, workflows, and reporting frameworks to support scale and growth.
Prepare quarterly financial statements and custom reports for family office principals and stakeholders.
Assist in setting up accounting systems and technology integrations, Establish and improve internal accounting processes, reporting structures, and system integrations.
Collaborate on investment due diligence and integration, particularly for real estate acquisitions and special projects.
Ensure accurate expense classification and alignment with internal agreements and investment strategy.
Monitor cash flow and capital allocations across the real estate and diversified investment assets portfolio.
Participate in and take ownership of ad hoc analysis, special projects, and strategy-aligned initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field of study; CPA preferred.
At least 5+ years of accounting experience in a single or multi-family office, private wealth management or equivalent investment portfolio management setting.
Proficiency in industry technology and software applications, i.e., QuickBooks and SAP required; Yardi and Bi360 a plus.
Strong grasp of GAAP, real estate-specific accounting (CAM, straight-line rent, overage), and entity consolidation.
Knowledge of accounting principles required with a preference for knowledge of real estate and trust/estate consolidated financial management
Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced vendors and deliver high-quality, timely financial outputs - with attention to detail, high ethical standards, and strong analytical acumen.
