One of the world’s most respected investment management firms is seeking a Finance Systems Business Analyst – SAP S/4HANA to join their high-impact transformation initiative. This role is ideal for professionals with deep experience in financial systems analysis, SAP S/4HANA, and business process optimization. Work Mode: Fully Onsite (5 days/week) – Irvine, CA
Duration: 13-month contract
Compensation: $102.24 per hour (W2 only)
Sponsorship: Not available – W2 candidates only
Schedule: Monday–Friday (standard business hours)
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Gathering
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to define goals and gather requirements
• Document current processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
• Lead breakout sessions and interviews to gather financial requirements
Business Requirement Specification & Communication
• Translate requirements into BRDs and user stories for SAP S/4HANA consultants
• Ensure clear communication between business and technical teams
• Recommend tools or technologies to meet business needs
Business Process Analysis & Optimization
• Analyze current and future-state finance-related processes
• Document “As-Is” and “To-Be” workflows including internal controls
• Identify automation opportunities within financial operations
Change Management Support
• Partner with change management teams on adoption and training
• Assist with training materials, UAT, and user engagement during go-live
System Integration & Data Quality
• Support integration between SAP and third-party tools (e.g., Concur, BRIM, Fieldglass)
• Define and support financial data governance processes
Risk & Compliance Alignment
• Ensure requirements meet regulatory standards (IFRS, GAAP)
• Support audit-readiness by embedding compliance controls in solution design
Project Coordination
• Track requirement lifecycle and assist with status dashboards (JIRA)
• Coordinate with project managers on task follow-ups and deadlines
Hands-On Implementation Support
• Build MJE automation in PaPM
• Document MJE setup processes (ICMR, S4 Allocations)
• Assist with Code Block value list revisions and key R3 activities
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
5–8+ years of experience in business analysis within financial systems
Strong SAP S/4HANA finance module knowledge
Experience with PaPM, ICMR, and SAP allocations
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
Experience with JIRA and project coordination a plus
