I'm partnering with a fast-growing client that's redefining how sales teams scale with AI-native technology, and they're building something brand new. My client is on the hunt for a Data Platform Engineer to be the first hire on a greenfield project. You'll have a direct hand in shaping the cloud infrastructure from zero to one, driving key decisions, laying foundational architecture, and setting the stage for long-term scalability and innovation.

The Role
Build from scratch: You'll architect and implement a brand-new AWS-based data platform.
Work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to ensure data flows are scalable, secure, and future-proof.
Help define standards and best practices around infrastructure, observability, and deployment.
Contract-to-Hire path with the opportunity to grow into a leadership or principal-level role.
Details
Type: Initial 3-6 month contract (with the opportunity to convert to full-time)
Pay: $75-$95/hr (W2 only)
Location: Remote (Occasional travel to Austin office.)
Mandatory Requirements:
5+ years in AWS Infrastructure & DevOps
5+ years of IaC experience with CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform
5+ years of CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions
5+ years of experience of monitoring with CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana
5+ years of experience of containerization with Docker, EKS, or Fargate
3+ years of experience in Glue, Data Lakes, and ETL Pipelines
3+ years of experience in Airflow
3+ years of Networking: VPC design, subnets, route tables, NAT, etc.
3+ years of Security: IAM, KMS, SGs, NACLs
3+ years of DNS: Route 53, domain management, resolver rules
3+ years of Scripting with Python, Bash, or YAML
Good to Have:
Experience with GoLang or Java
Familiarity with open-source data pipeline frameworks
