Operator - Bulk Commodities

Aurex Group is working with a global commodity trading firm seeking an experienced Operator/Scheduler to join their Houston team.

Overview:

This person will have a broad scope of responsibilities related to marine operations, logistics, and scheduling for bulk commodities.

This role will support the trading desk and sit within the Operations teams. Coordinating and assisting with logistics and operations.

Provide relevant market information to the trading desk as well as helping with analysis, as requested.

Manage post-deal processes & procedures. Liaising and management of daily activities from origin to destination, including coordinating amongst various clients and counterparties, including terminal operators, engineers, field personnel, customers, trading, and logistics.

Qualifications

We are looking for 4+ years of experience in a relevant trading, shipping, or commercial commodities environment.

Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience within a commodity trading firm required.

Strong communication skills.

High level of customer service, stakeholder management, and drive. Adaptable and able to thrive in a deadline-driven business.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.
