Oracle PL/SQL Developer (Only W2)

Rutherford, NJ

12-month Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Oracle PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL code and Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in writing stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages, with a focus on performance tuning and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop complex PL/SQL programs, packages, procedures, and functions.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and tune existing PL/SQL code for performance improvements.

Create and maintain database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and constraints.

Collaborate with front-end developers, business analysts, and QA teams to integrate database solutions.

Perform data analysis and write efficient queries for reporting and data extraction.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security in the database environment.

Support development and production environments, including debugging and resolving issues.

Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation for all development efforts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

7+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.

Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database architecture.

Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.

Familiarity with tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, or Enterprise Manager.

Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Knowledge of data modeling and normalization.

Ability to write and maintain complex scripts and stored procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Oracle APEX, Forms & Reports, or BI tools.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure).

Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN).

Exposure to other database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL is a plus.
