Job Description:

This job is responsible for leading the planning, designing, and implementation of complex infrastructure solutions to meet deployment requirements aligned with available playbooks and technical blueprints. Key responsibilities include providing and communicating technology solutions across audiences and overseeing projects and activities related to special initiatives or operations. Job expectations include leading the resolution process for problems, adhering to defined practices and policies to obtain results, and establishing input/output processes and working parameters for systems.

Position Summary

MongoDB DBaaS Operations DBA to support High tier production systems; MongoDB DBA with minimum 5+ years of experience; The DBA will be responsible for design & build, performance tuning, trouble shooting, and provide operational support for production and non-production servers. 24x7 support.

Responsibilities:

Database administration/development of Mongo DB database

Maintain/manage MongoDB databases

Implement and manage the security of MongoDB databases

Responsible for Mongo backups and restores

Implement and maintain MongoDB OPS Manager

Solve difficult technical challenges

Administer MongoDB to achieve 100% availability

Collaborate with other teams to solve technical issues

Maintain detailed documentation of database Design/Architecture and setup

Required Qualifications

Experience in MongoDB Database administration/development

5+ years of experiences in Linux environment in a database administrator/developer role

Hands on experience with solving MongoDB performance issues

Hands on experience with building and maintaining MongoDB replica sets

Hands on experience with building and maintaining MongoDB shared environment

Proactively work on monitoring, identifying and fixing database related issues

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to handle ambiguous situations

Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment

Ability to support in shifts to provide 24x7 is support

Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

Experience in automating database administration tasks

Requires shell scripting knowledge (perl, bash, korn, python) to automate the processes and tasks

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$85,000.00 - $153,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
