The Finance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers the expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth.
What You’ll Do:
Review customer contract, statement-of-work and contract requirements and develop a schedule plan to meet requirements. Communicate plan to program team.
Work with the Control Account Managers (CAM) and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads to determine resource needs to support the work.
Lead and manage the development and implementation of the program baseline to meet the Earned Value Management (EVM) System Description requirements and customer flowdowns.
Lead the schedule effort for the Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) on the programs.
Analyze schedules, develop and issue all customer and management schedule reporting. Present schedule data as required at customer and executive meetings.
Participate as the scheduling subject matter expert for a portfolio of programs.
Facilitate scheduling discussions to create project schedules and determine relationships with other projects.
Help technical experts establish milestones and provide support to monitor adherence to the IMS by identifying programmatic problems and providing recommended solutions.
Recommend and lead scheduling best practices and process improvements on program.
Work with the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to determine the strategic objectives for the program. Align programs and operations to the objectives.
Support the Program Management Office to achieve or exceed business objectives.
Support development of programmatic opportunities/risks and their mitigation strategies.
Help coordinate the planning and setting of the baseline on the program.
Perform what-if type scenarios for the schedules as issues arise; i.e. analyze funding constraints and program impacts.
Coordinate the detailed production schedules and ensure integration to the IMS.
Resource load the schedules and work with the program cost analyst to ensure the time-phasing of the resources aligns with the schedules.
Lead the Schedule Change Control Board and ensure changes to the baseline are incorporated with the approved Baseline Change process.
Run a Schedule Risk Assessment and present results to the Program team.
Incorporate schedule risk issues into the program Risk and Opportunity Change Management Process.
Train/Mentor junior level planners supporting the program as required.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
BS/BA in a related field plus 6 or more years related experience.
Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Experience working in a Microsoft Project Server environment.
Proficiency in program schedule baseline setup and maintenance.
Experience on proposal schedule development.
Experience in Aerospace and Defense work.
Experience working on a full Earned Value Management program.
Experience developing/maintaining schedules on multiple programs using Microsoft Project.
Experience working with program teams to develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and activity dependencies that structure the IMS.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written for constant and consistent interaction with all departments and employee levels including customers.#LI-LO1
A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
Preferred Skills and Education
Experience using SSI Tools in a multi-project environment.
A current, active Top Secret Clearance.
