Job Summary:
Manage and oversee the financial aspects of vessel operations after a fixture (contract) has been agreed upon. This includes ensuring accurate financial reporting, processing invoices, managing budgets, and analyzing financial data to support decision-making. The role also involves ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations, ultimately contributing to the financial health and efficiency of the organization.
Job Accountability:
Responsible on accounts payable, including but not limited to brokerage payments, BQS (Bunker Quantity Survey).
Responsible for account receiveable and collection (including invoice, debit note, credit note) to all customers and ensure accuration and timelyness.
Communicate with brokers/charterers for invoice, payment schedule, hire statement review, bunker on delivery/redelivery, final settlement.
Monitor voyage expenses, including port charges, bunker costs, and canal dues (if Voyage Charter).
Prepare, negotiate, and verify laytime calculations, demurrage, and despatch claims (if Voyage Charter), off-hire as well as speed & fuel consumption claims to charterers/ owners
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Develop and monitor budgets, providing insights and recommendations for cost control.
