Position Summary:

Responsible for leading efforts between Field and its customers to ensure quality requirements are met and to resolve quality-related issues so that customer part specifications and overall quality expectations are met. This position will work closely with internal teams in sourcing, quality, implementation, account management, and sales; as well as customer representatives by performing the following functions.

FLSA Hourly/Salary: Starting Salary $68,000-$74,000

Essential Functions:

Commit to FIELD’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.

Coordinate and communicate customer quality requirements to internal teams.

Respond to quality issues by interfacing with customers and suppliers to fully understand any non-conformance issues with the goal of achieving a satisfactory resolution.

Work with the internal quality team and other functional areas to establish and uphold quality standards.

Troubleshoot/research quality issues as needed using appropriate problem solving tools and corrective action procedures.

Resolve discrepancies and maintain documentation.

Champion ISO 9001 certification activities in Columbus location and perform supplier audits as needed.

Maintain established quality metrics and report on quality metrics and Field performance on a regular basis.

Build and maintain favorable relationships with suppliers, customers and Field team members.

Perform PPAP and daily inspections as needed to meet Field internal and customer requirements.

Travel as needed in the US to work with Field customers, suppliers, and team members.

Manage the Quality Control Hold area in the Columbus location, ensuring quick dispositioning of non-conforming material.

Education, Skills and Experience Required:

Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technology degree preferred but will consider equivalent experience in quality engineering and/or manufacturing.

Polite and professional manner.

Good working knowledge of inspection tools and equipment, such as, but not limited to:

Calipers

Micrometers

Rockwell Hardness Testing

Optical Comparator

Torque Wrench

Working knowledge of PPAP’s, ISIR’s, and other quality documents needed for customer submissions.

Ability to find information / specifications on fasteners when needed for internal teams and customers.

Mechanical aptitude.

Working knowledge of threaded fasteners.

Previous fastener distribution, fastener application engineering, or fastener manufacturing experience.

Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.

Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge.

Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong time management skills.

Highly motivated, well organized.

Effective presentation skills.

Ability to drive results without a great deal of direct supervision.

Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

Blueprint reading skills.

Additional Skills Preferred:

ISO9001:2015 understanding is preferred.
