Salary: $70,000 -$90,000

Job Summary: We are seeking an Entry Level Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing firmware for embedded systems. This role involves working closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Starting the job by receiving training to become proficient in modern applications such as Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket, GitKraken, Zephyr Testing Management, and other tools necessary for your tasks.

With guidance, develop and maintain complex software and firmware modules for embedded systems in C++.

Design and implement real-time embedded applications, including interrupt-driven, task-based, multi-threaded software.

Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and specifications.

Perform hardware bring-up and work with data information spreadsheets for device configuration.

Troubleshoot firmware using lab test benches, engineering workstations, and hardware/software integration.

Translate system-level requirements into software design and implementation.

Participate in all stages of software development, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

Bachelors degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Strong programming skills in C/C++.

Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers.

Familiarity with hardware debugging tools and techniques.

Experienced with embedded Linux and Windows environments.

Skilled in low-level programming, including bitset coding, drivers, Windows/Linux internals, networking, and embedded Windows/Linux build systems.

Experience:

Knowledge courses in semiconductor burn-in test operations and manufacturing technology is a plus.

Experience in developing real-time embedded applications, including interrupt-driven, task-based, multi-threaded software.

Background in designing and developing multi-disciplinary products that integrate software and electronics.

Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and working with data information spreadsheets for device configuration is a plus.

Knowledge:

Ability to read and comprehend schematics is a plus.

Soft Skills:

Strong troubleshooting skills for firmware using lab test benches, engineering workstations, and hardware/software integration.

Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Applications.

Capable of translating system-level requirements into software design and implementation.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Salary Range:

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where youll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job is $70K to $90K Annual Base. Individual base salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our benefit package includes medical and dental coverage, equity participation plan, 401(k).
