Job Description

McNary Law is a boutique firm serving clients across Manatee and Sarasota Counties, with a strong foundation in family law and a growing criminal defense practice. We’re looking for an experienced Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience who is confident in the courtroom, capable of managing their own caseload, and interested in contributing to the growth of both our family law and criminal defense (focusing on DUI and misdemeanor defense) practice areas.

Who You Are:

A Florida-licensed attorney, with a minimum of 3 years of legal experience (family law and/or criminal defense preferred)

Confident in court and comfortable navigating litigation

Ready to take ownership of your cases while having backup when you need it

Independent but collaborative — you know how to manage your cases but appreciate a supportive team

Organized, efficient, and an excellent communicator

Looking for a long-term home where you can build a meaningful legal career

The Work:

Handle a variety of family law matters including divorce, custody, child support, enforcement, and modifications

Managing criminal defense cases (as assigned or developed)

Litigate when necessary, negotiate when possible

Draft pleadings, conduct discovery, attend hearings and mediations

Providing thoughtful, strategic counsel to clients
