Our client is seeking a Desktop Technician to support computer users with the installation of hardware, software, and networking components. The role includes Windows 11 upgrades and deployment of new replacement machines. Responsibilities involve diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with individual or multiple computer systems, including coordination with vendors for resolution.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting diagnostics and generating error reports to identify and resolve problems
Assisting with computer-related projects, studies, and policy implementation
Supporting the design and development of operational reports for monitoring systems
Researching and recommending hardware/software for users, including ordering and purchasing details
Resolving moderate end-user issues, including remote access support
Configuring new computers and managing upgrade/replacement processes
Participating in the rollout of new software platforms
Tracking user requests and issues by opening support cases and maintaining case histories
Verifying resolution with users and closing cases accordingly
Skills Required
Experience with M365 / O365 migrations (required)
Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and terminology
Basic problem-solving skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Skills Preferred
Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system
Familiarity with Palo Alto VPN for desktop support
Experience Required
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma
