As a senior engineer specializing in automation at Boehringer Ingelheim, you will spearhead the development and enhancement of advanced automation systems, integrating cutting-edge technology for production and building management. Your role involves not only troubleshooting and programming automated controls but also managing extensive projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with company standards. Collaborate globally within our network to contribute directly to significant projects, fueling innovation and company progress. Core Responsibilities

Directs projects to improve and expand automation technologies, ensuring sustainability and innovation.

Oversees the operation and refinement of building management systems, upholding industry standards and internal protocols.

Assesses potential automation initiatives for feasibility, driving financial and strategic decision-making.

Champions site automation improvements and leads strategic project proposals to management.

Serves as the go-to expert for automation across significant capital projects, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.

Handles immediate control and automation challenges to minimize operational downtime.

Crafts corrective action plans and preventative measures to enhance system integrity.

Investigates novel technologies and facilitates training post-implementation. Qualifications

A degree in Engineering with substantial experience in control systems is essential.

Proficiency in low voltage controls, including safety circuits and interfacing technologies.

Expertise in PLC programming and RSLogix, along with HMI/SCADA systems.

Familiarity with FactoryTalk View and advanced mechanical design software like SolidWorks.

Experience with building automation tools like Siemens Insight.

Exceptional communication and project management capabilities. Eligibility Requirements
