Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

The role involves setting up and running Mills and/or other machining equipment. The work primarily consists of onsey twosey work orders, requiring multiple setups.

Responsibilities

Setup and operate CNC Mill, Lathe, or other equipment to effectively machine parts to required specifications.

Perform complex machining operations with an understanding of assembly fits and precision tolerancing.

Modify machining code generated from CAD software to better utilize equipment’s capabilities.

Create or modify G&M code to enable progressive machining of complete parts in CNC Mill or Lathe.

Familiarity with working properties of various materials and machining tools.

Maintain part quality by verifying part to print and observing machining operation to detect malfunctions.

Change tooling, fixtures, or jigs as needed to produce part; set up or adjust machine tool parameters as needed.

Accurately record data in ERP system to capture part movement and cost.

Record issues in SharePoint to ensure proper workflow of corrective action.Essential Skills

Proficiency in CNC machine operating and setup.

Experience with Mills and Lathes.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Inspection skills to ensure quality control.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with machining tools and their properties.

Experience with modifying G&M code.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alexandria, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
