Dump truck operator

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating dump trucks and possess a strong mechanical knowledge, enabling them to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs. This includes role is essential for transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and safety protocols.

Transport various materials, including dirt, gravel, and asphalt, to designated locations.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.

Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed, ensuring proper weight distribution in the truck.

Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, materials transported, and vehicle maintenance.

Collaborate with site supervisors to understand delivery schedules and site requirements.

Operate additional equipment such as backhoes, graders, or water trucks when necessary.

Skills

Proven experience operating dump trucks with a valid commercial driving license (CDL).

Strong mechanical knowledge for performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on vehicles.

Ability to operate heavy machinery including backhoes, graders, bulldozers, and water trucks.

Familiarity with construction site operations including digging, building, paving, and material handling.

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards on the job site.
