Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday–Friday)

$25–$32/hour Temp-to-Perm On-Call Rotation Required

We’re hiring a skilled Mechanic I to support operations at a water/wastewater treatment facility. If you have hands-on mechanical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a passion for reliable utility systems, apply today.

Key Qualifications

1+ year of experience in wastewater treatment or similar mechanical maintenance

Valid driver’s license (clean record)

Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)

Ability to obtain CMRT certification within 3 years of hire

Preferred:

Forklift operation experience

Experience supporting municipal utility clients

Strong safety awareness and work ethic

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water/wastewater systems

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, valves, motors, and machinery

Lubricate equipment, replace bearings, and adjust regulators

Install, align, and commission new equipment

Maintain plant buildings and infrastructure (cleaning, painting, basic carpentry)

Assist with plumbing and pipe fitting as needed

Use welding equipment (gas/arc) to cut, braze, or weld

Keep accurate maintenance records and logs

Support plant safety procedures and respond to emergency repairs as needed

Participate in on-call rotation after initial training
