Currently, we are searching for a Dallas-based Purchasing Manager for a private equity backed fabricator and installer of custom countertops in the DFW area. Our client provides high quality end-to-end service and has been in business for over 30 years!
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing of materials, management of inventory, and a heavy focus on building and maintaining relationships with vendors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vendor and Supplier Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and negotiate contracts to reduce expenses.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
Purchasing
Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms for pricing, quality, delivery, and returns.
Create and process purchase orders for each division.
Conduct market research to stay informed on pricing trends and availability of materials.
Inventory Management
Create and oversee monthly and quarterly inventory counts.
Ensure products are being consumed efficiently, current inventory levels are always accurate, and those counts match what is in the yard/warehouse.
Collaborate with divisions to identify and forecast material requirements based on project schedules.
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong experience building and maintaining relationships with vendors/suppliers and regularly negotiating contract terms and product pricing.
COMPENSATION:
Base = $70,000-$75,000
Bonus = $5,000-$10,000, paid quarterly
