Information and Network Security Analyst

GuideIT is a is a US based technology services company focused on providing value to its' customers through technology alignment and optimization. We are currently looking for an Information and Network Security Analyst to join our team in Plano, TX. This is a hybrid role, and only local candidates will be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

The Information and Network Security Analyst will have customer-centric abilities with proven experience of interacting with customers and managing customer engagements. As an Information and Network Security Analyst, you will have the opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor to our customers. The focus of this role will be on assessing and assisting our clients to maximize the value of their investment in Security and Network services and integrating them into their security operations. Network security experience is a must.

Primary duties include:

Manage and maintain customer security platforms, including:

EDR

MDR

ITDR

SAT

Phish testing

Email Security

RMM

Patch management

Vulnerability management

Penetration testing

Ensure effective ownership, communication, coordination, and facilitation of security service activities with customers

Work incident and service request tickets from customers regarding above technologies

Fortinet firewall management

SDWAN configuration

Network troubleshooting

Multi-protocol traffic analysis

MPLS Network support

Assist security team with customer security incident remediation as needed

Assisting clients with maintaining and supporting installed security toolsets

Where possible, improve and streamline security processes

SME for all GuideIT Security Services

Serve clients to the highest professional standards

Generate recurring reports as required per customers’ requirements

Help mature and develop GuideIT’s Security Practice offerings

Required skills and experience:

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

Large SDWAN network experience

CCNA

Network +

Security +

Fortinet Cyber Security Certification

Cisco Networking Basics Certification

Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

Strong customer-facing skills

Self-starter and able to lead the delivery of projects and deliverables

Strong security background, demonstrable project delivery skills and experience of delivering information security consultancy services in the areas of information security management, programs and operations.

Technical/operational background with a range of technical/operational knowledge and skills as well as relevant security-related qualifications.

Experience with EDR/MDR products, Next Generation Firewall/ISP/IPS and vulnerability scanning

Strong tech/report writing skills

*This position requires that the incumbent be willing to work a hybrid schedule at the office located in Plano, TX.
