Job Description:

The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities within the manufacturing plant.

This role ensures accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

The Plant Controller will work closely with plant management to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.

Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

Research technical accounting issues for compliance.

Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Provide financial analysis and decision support to plant management.

Lead and manage the plant's financial team.

Requirements:

Proven working experience as a Plant Controller or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Experience with creating financial statements.

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and management.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Education:

Prefer Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.Company Description
