We’re looking for a smart, curious, and solutions-driven Controls Engineer to join a fast-growing team at a state-of-the-art plant just outside Columbus, OH. This facility is on the front lines of sustainable energy and advanced chemical production, using breakthrough technology to convert renewable feedstocks into essential products. You’ll be a key player in keeping the operation safe, efficient, and future-focused.

Engineer smarter processes by developing advanced control strategies and integrating instrumentation for real-time performance.
Design and program PLCs to ensure seamless equipment automation and troubleshooting.
Build intuitive, operator-friendly DCS and HMI screens to improve usability and visibility across operations.
Drive improvements in plant efficiency by collaborating with process engineers and tracking performance with smart KPIs.
Champion alarm system philosophy — ensuring accurate, prioritized alerts that help prevent issues before they start.
Keep things safe and compliant, from emergency shutdown systems to ongoing regulatory documentation.
What’s in It for You:
You'll be on the ground floor of a game-changing industrial project backed by serious investment and long-term vision.
Excellent benefits, including annual bonus, healthcare, 401(k), and generous PTO.
Relocation assistance provided for top candidates — we’ll help you make the move.
A collaborative, forward-thinking team that values engineering excellence, innovation, and impact.
Open to candidates from oil & gas, chemicals, heavy industry, or manufacturing—if you’ve worked in high-stakes industrial environments, you’ll fit right in.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with PLC programming (ladder logic, function block, etc.).
Deep knowledge of SCADA systems, HMIs, and DCS screen development.
Familiarity with industrial instrumentation, calibration, and safety systems.
A passion for troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and automation.
Background in oil & gas, chemicals, heavy industry, or manufacturing is highly valued.
If you’re the kind of person who loves turning data into decisions and controls into confidence, we’d love to hear from you.
