Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our team in Eau Claire, WI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to optimize our manufacturing processes. This role requires a deep understanding of automation systems, programming, and process control, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

- Develop and program PLCs, HMI, SCADA systems, and other control systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and automation opportunities.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems and equipment.

- Conduct testing and validation of automation systems to ensure optimal performance.

- Create and maintain documentation for automation processes, including system schematics, software code, and user manuals.

- Train and support operations staff on automated systems and technologies.

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in automation engineering.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all automation processes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, Python, C++, or Java.

- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial robotics.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and IoT integration.

- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools.

- Certification in automation systems or related fields.
