Application Developer - Lead
We’re looking for a lead developer to assist us in managing the applications and processes that support our growing list of over 500 retail stores. The Application Development Lead will be responsible for working with product owners and an agile development team to design and develop next-generation applications and APIs across web, mobile, cloud, and in-store client devices leveraging AI. The lead will also be responsible for building the team’s AI capabilities and best practices.
Responsibilities:
· Engage in full stack application development
· Lead, manage and mentor a team of developers, both local and offsite/offshore
· Lead AI transformation initiatives for the team
· Embrace secure coding practices
· Follow SDLC as applicable to the specific projects
· Identify and manage potential issues likely to impact the stability and performance of applications. Diagnose any occurring production issues and coordinate with appropriate parties to find a resolution
· Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written, with developers, product owners, vendors, management, and other associates
· Collaborate with business partners to analyze user stories, ensuring they are clear, concise, and technically feasible
· Strive for continuous improvements of our processes, application designs, and application execution
· Maintain and improve upon application monitors and provide any necessary support via an on-call rotation
· Additional responsibilities may be assigned
Qualifications:
· 10 years or more in application development experience primarily with .NET & C#
· Experience using AI to increase efficiency and quality
· Experience in SQL and relational databases
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in Mobile application development (MAUI/Xamarin)
· Experience in Retail (preferably Apparel Retail)
· Familiar with SDLC, Agile Methodologies and DevOps procedures
Experience in Azure, Dotnet Core, ASP.NET, Web API, MVC, Blazor, HTML5, CSS, T-SQL
