We are seeking a motivated Body Technician Apprentice with the desire to be a part of positive and growing organization! Our Apprenticeship is a full-time PAID role (roughly 2 years duration).
This person will:
Essential Duties
Partner with a Journeyman Body Tech to support and learn collision repair work, to include:
Key Responsibilities:
The apprentice will learn how to disassemble vehicles, install new parts, and ensure proper alignment and fit of repaired areas. Apprentice will become efficient in dent removal and panel replacement.
Maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety procedures and using appropriate protective gear is crucial.
The apprentice will learn to use various tools and equipment, including welding, frame rack, plastic repair, glue pull and maintain their condition.
The apprentice will learn to check parts for accuracy, ensure repairs adhere to OE standards, and verify quality and safety of repairs.
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including tools and equipment, is also an important part of the job.
Apprentices participate in training programs and seek to improve their knowledge of current products and technical techniques.
Physical Demands:
The job may involve lifting parts weighing up to 70 pounds and performing physical tasks like kneeling, bending, and squatting.
In essence, the Apprentice Body Technician role is a learning opportunity focused on developing the skills and knowledge needed to become a fully qualified auto body technician.
Education and/or Experience
Experience with automotive care, including detailing, body/collision, or maintenance a plus.
Desire to pursue a career in automotive repair.
