We are actively seeking a Purchasing Manager in the Columbus, OH area to join our award WINNING team.

What You Will Do:
You will lead the Purchasing team, and assure continuous development of the team for outstanding performance
You will utilize purchasing transactions according to Company policies and procedures
You will purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information
You will identify and select suppliers on criteria including price, quantity, quality, and delivery date
You will read, interpret, and analyze supplier terms and conditions for the most favorable results for the Company
You will interpret, train, and communicate purchasing procedures to the team and/or other functional areas
You will assist the team on requisitions and orders, and solve problems with purchase orders
You will analyze bids, quotes, and proposals; prepare/present to the team and make recommendations to awardcontracts
You will negotiate major purchasing contracts, blanket orders and long term purchase agreements
You will analyze marketing forecasts to identify and plan for anticipated material requirements or cost variances.
You will directly supervise 1-3 employees
You will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the companys policies and applicable laws
Your supervisory responsibilities will include training; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
You will perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university.
Minimum 5-years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencein a corporate environment
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Background in electrical construction
