COLSA’s DIL support staff provides First Line Army Mission Command System (MCS) technical support to ensure successful formal and informal interoperability integration and testing between Army MCS and PEO STRI Systems and Non-System Training Aids, Devices, Simulations, and Simulators.
The selected applicant will work full-time on-site at the supported government/customer secure integration and test facility.
Essential Functions:
Performs duties associated with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of networks representative of an Army Tactical Operations Center (TOC) configuration supporting MCS platforms.
Configures and maintains Cisco Network Devices (Routers, Switches, ASAs, etc.).
Troubleshoots network connectivity locally and to endpoint users.
Resolves routine interoperability problems to obtain operations across all MCS platforms.
Work is performed under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. Work is performed in a lab environment with little or no adverse conditions. Physical demands may include lifting, up to 40 lbs., crawling, climbing, and prolonged sitting. Work requires frequent computer usage with moderate visual attention and frequent phone usage. Travel may be required on rare occasions. (Less than 5% within a year)
