Job Description

Responsible for development, design, implementation and management of residential and commercial energy efficiency programs, including demand response programs. Accountable for attaining specific program goals and milestones in support of meeting corporate business objectives while ensuring that programs are in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

Develops and implements the daily operation of energy efficiency and demand response programs, assures that program policies are carried out, and assures that program goals are met. Recommends and implements modifications to programs and procedures as appropriate.

Develop new markets, marketing strategies, and marketing programs for market segments including residential, commercial and/or industrial customers. Identifies efficiency and demand response needs of customers and determines how they would prefer to receive services from the company. Builds quality into all processes.

Develop business and marketing plans and provide overall management and implementation for programs, Accountable for meeting goals, targets and results for assigned markets, campaigns, and programs. Continuously improves cost-effectiveness of programs.

Commission and evaluate market research and conduct market assessments. Assists in the preparation of Energy Efficiency program materials and information for filing with commissions.

Develop, manage, and implement advertising and promotion strategies. Develop and execute internal employee and external customer communication strategies and measure and evaluate effectiveness of communication.

Demonstrates creativity, new approaches to markets, "out-of-the-box" thinking, challenging the status-quo.

Responsible for field inspections/verifications to ensure compliance with program requirements. Solicits program participation and establishes/maintains a positive relationship with vendors, contractors and other agents.

Expected to deliver a high level of customer focus to ensure a positive customer experience outcome. Responsible for resolving customer, vendor and dealer complaints. Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship between External Affairs, Customer Service, Operations and other departments. Accountable for meeting corporate business objectives through achievement of specific Energy Efficiency program goals and targets.

Requirements

BA/BS or equivalent experience in marketing, communication, business or related field.

Valid driver's license.

Understanding of regulatory guidelines and Public Utility Commission funding.

Demonstrated project/program management.

Advanced ability to cultivate and maintain relationships; internally and externally.

Knowledge of customer data base systems and Energy Efficiency tools. Intermediate Level computer skills; including MS Office Suite.

Advanced verbal and written communication skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with attention to detail, including proofreading.

Effective Customer Service and interpersonal skills - works as liaison between both internal and external customers.

Knowledge and understanding of low-income rate assistance program (LIRAP), federal low-income heating and energy program (LIHEAP) and other funding and outreach applications.

Energy Efficiency Program Manager I: Starting Range: $65,410.37 - $84,379, Full Range: $65,410 - 103,347

3+ years of related or relevant experience with Energy Efficiency, energy efficiency, energy assistance or customer programs or applications including customer interaction.

Energy Efficiency Program Manager II: Starting Range: $84,939 - $110,421, Full Range: $84,939 - $135,903

5+ years of related or relevant experience with Energy Efficiency, energy efficiency, energy assistance or customer programs or applications including customer interaction.

Sr. Energy Efficiency Program Manager: Starting Range: $96,517 - $126,439 Full Range: $96,517 - $156,359

7+ years of related or relevant experience with energy efficiency, energy assistance, or customer programs or applications including customer interaction and 3+ years of demonstrated project/program management.

Ability to influence processes and strategies without direct authority.

Ability to effectively coach and mentor junior staff.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane, Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with an additional day determined by the employee and manager.
