Job Purpose:
The Injection Well Operator is responsible for understanding the limits of the injection well permit within which production must operate as well as ensuring that the Injection Well operation always stays within these limits. The operator is responsible for understanding the operation of the Lamellas and all process water filtering systems (Leems, Leaf, and Tube Socks) to prepare water for injection well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Matrix
Safe Work Permits
Lock Tag & Try Procedure
Injection well permit requirements
Start-up, operations and shutdown of all the various equipment associated with the Injection operation
Operates the leaf filters and/or leem filters including opening the unit, cleaning the leaves, closing the unit and pre-coating the unit
Operates the tube filters and replaces the tube socks, when necessary
Operates the lamellas and enters the two-hour check sheet on the log sheet
Properly enters the correct information on the two-hour check sheets and on the leaf filter log
Follows the Emergency Well and Filter “shut-down” procedure, when required
Follows all applicable procedures and work instructions to assure feed water for the Injection well is cleaned and ready for Injection
Responsible to meet site safety requirements and quality and food/feed safety requirements
Other similar duties, as assigned
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
High School Diploma or GED
