Description:
Provide T&E engineering support for the development, testing, and integration of PMW/A 170 Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) sensors, systems, and associated simulation and test equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
• Supporting T&E events, including functional and performance IV&V tests, software tests, and other Government Acceptance Tests as directed.
• Conducting technical reviews and analyses of technical test report documentation, to include developmental tests. Preparing equipment, coordinating test activities, and facilitating/witnessing assigned test events.
• Providing subject matter expertise during the defense acquisition T&E process, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing events.
• Developing and executing manual and/or automated tests as required.Requirements:
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or Engineering preferred)
• Ability to work on-site in a lab environment at NIWC Pacific
• Prior knowledge of communications and network engineering
• 5+ years of professional experience relevant in software testing (functional, performance, regression, integration, and/or user acceptance).
• Experience with PNT technology such as Global Positioning System (GPS), Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Anti-Jam Antennas, Inertial Measurement Units (IMU), Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), Bathymetric Navigation, Celestial Navigation, Magnetic Navigation, Atomic Clocks, precise time transfer, sensor fusion and/or other alternative PNT sensors.
• Experience in the RDT&E, installation, operation, and/or maintenance of a broad range of products such as computer systems, navigation systems, communication systems, and defense systems.
Salary at Highbury Defense is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000-160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Highbury Defense’s total compensation package for employees.
