Location: Westerville area, OH

Schedule:

Monday 10:00 AM 3:00 PM

Wednesday 10:00 AM 3:00 PM

Thursday 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Friday 10:00 AM 3:00 PM

Every other Sunday 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Role Overview

As a Direct Support Professional, you will:

Execute each task thoughtfully, helping clients live healthy, fulfilling lives.

Provide personal careassisting with walking, hygiene, and bedside support.

Perform domestic duties, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and errands.

Support individuals or families during times of incapacitation, offering companionship and assistance adapting to new life situations.

Carry out healthcare-related tasks under RN or physiotherapist guidance (vital signs, medication reminders).

Plan, shop for, or prepare nutritious meals, or assist families in these tasks.

Transport clients to appointments or outings.

Educate or counsel clients on household upkeep, utilities, hygiene, nutrition, or childcare.

Document and update client progress, services rendered, and any condition changes.

Ensure weekly reporting compliance on client objectives and overall health.

Additional Duties & Requirements:

Capable of independently lifting up to 35 lbs; repositioning clients using adaptive equipment with assistance.

Maintain current CPR certification and background check.

Complete state-mandated 8-hour annual training and recertification.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred).

Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to pass background check and complete mandated trainings (CPR, med-certification, DODD).
