Apprentice Precaster - QA/QC Lead

Job Description

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This individual will be part of a team responsible for safely and efficiently testing precast concrete products to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

Test each of our in house mix designs daily

Organize all data in spreadsheets

Measure moisture in aggregates

Break concrete cylinders

Maintain a clean and organized area

Communicate with production team about any quality issues or concerns

Complete pre/post pour inspections on all molds

Troubleshoot mix designs

Prepare steel forms for casting

Operate machinery including forklift and overhead crane

Ability to perform basic carpentry/construction skills on regular basis

Facility maintenance and housekeeping

Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed, such as production, maintenance etc...

Mechanical skills are a plus

Requirements

ACI Field Testing Grade 1 (Will provide training)

Organizational Skills

Consistency

Attention to Detail

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

Manufacturing or construction experience preferred

Knowledge of basic math and understanding of measurements a plus

Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members

Ability to lift up to 150 lbs periodically throughout the day
