Position Overview: We are seeking a Office Services Clerk in our Seattle office. This position provides mail service, hospitality, and copying assistance for the Seattle office. This position requires on-site work, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities of Office Services Clerk:

This position generally involves recurring work situations with occasional variation from average to moderate complexity. The employee must perform all duties with minimal supervision. Overtime might occur during periods of high workload.

Mail Services: Pickup/receive/distribute incoming mail and handle outgoing mail, packages, certified, etc. Mail machine operations/maintenance/ troubleshooting. Send and receive faxes. Communicate/coordinate with mailing services and delivery folks as needed.

Hospitality & Facilities: Stock/clean/maintain coffee and snack stations. Setup and clean up conference rooms for meetings and events. New office cleaning and setup. Occasionally helps move manageable office furniture. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas. Perform Conference room sweeps throughout the day.

Copy/Print: Receive and complete copy/print jobs, binders, tabs, etc.

Office Supplies: Maintain/track stock of office supplies at firm and in convenience centers. Keep Office Services well supplied and organized. Run errands to order supplies around Seattle as needed.

Assist with backup support for receptionist.

Additional tasks as may be assigned.Requirements:

Qualifications of Office Services Clerk:

Ability to provide a positive customer service attitude and professional demeanor; ability to communicate in a helpful way.

Ability to take direction and communicate well with all members of a services organization, from staff to attorneys.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a positive “can-do” attitude.

Strong proficiency in MS Office products (including Outlook, Excel and Word); moderate typing speed.

Aptitude for learning office equipment.

Ability to speak and write English proficiently.

Ability to be self-driven, can prioritize projects and work independently after appropriate training and instruction.

Ability to be flexible based on the needs of the attorneys or staff, and the ability to switch tasks on a moment’s notice.

Additional experience and educational preferences:

Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.

Required: A high diploma or equivalent.

Required: Customer service experience.

Preferred: Experience in law firm or other professional services organization.

Preferred: Experience in mail room or copy center roles.

SALARY RANGE/BENEFITS: $48,000-53,000 – This salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors, which include but are not limited to the following: the candidate’s relevant experience, skill level, and demonstrated ability to perform all of the essential functions of the position as well as ability to perform functions which would arise from the needs of the position or as assigned and all of the qualifications listed in the job description. Benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short & long term disability, 401K, paid time off, and holiday pay.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust and the like. Ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time. This is an on-site position 5 days per week, 37.5 hours per week.
