We're building out our Program Services Group and are looking for a Project Engineer who wants hands-on experience across project management, field supervision, and estimating, especially in the data center/mission-critical space.

Summary The Project Engineer will support the delivery of high-performance data center and mission-critical projects by assisting in field coordination, document control, quality assurance, and cost/schedule tracking.

This role is ideal for individuals aspiring to become Project Managers, Superintendents, or Estimators in complex, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities Coordinate daily field activities and resolve on-site issues with subcontractors and team members.

Interpret and communicate project drawings, specifications, and structured cabling requirements to ensure seamless execution.

Maintain project permit records and manage recurring fee payments.

Oversee quality-control plans: submittals, RFIs, change orders, non-conformance reports, and punch lists.

Lead structured testing and inspection programs, including three-phase inspection systems.

Develop and manage document logs: material tracking, test and inspection, concrete placement.

Assist with bid/package prep, estimating, and scope reviews to support cost-effective delivery.

Manage electronic document workflows-RFIs, correspondence, transmittals-using PCMS or similar.

Track budgets and schedules; prepare project progress updates for stakeholders.

Ensure full compliance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.

Support project closeout and turnover to operations.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred-or equivalent experience.

1–3 years' experience in construction, preferably within data centers, structured cabling, or mission-critical facilities.

Strong understanding of submittal/RFI/change order workflows and quality inspection processes.

Experience with structured cabling systems is a plus.

Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, PCMS, or Bluebeam desired.

Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Able to work collaboratively in diverse, fast-paced project teams.

Valid driver's license, ability to travel to job sites.

Physical Demands & Work Conditions Work on active, mission-critical construction sites subject to outdoors conditions, noise, dust, and hazards.

Capable of walking, standing, climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and performing physical tasks.

Might involve rotating travel to project locations.
