Controls Engineer – Hardware & Software Integration
We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer with expertise in both hardware and software systems. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining industrial automation systems that ensure efficient operation of manufacturing and process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement control systems for industrial equipment, including both hardware layout and software configuration
Develop and troubleshoot PLC programming using platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent
Create and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
Conduct system integration, start-up, and commissioning of automated equipment
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless system functionality
Perform diagnostics and root cause analysis of electrical and control systems
Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and electrical codes
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proficient in PLC programming, ladder logic, and HMI configuration
Strong experience in electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical
In-depth understanding of industrial control systems, automation equipment, and electromechanical systems
Knowledge of control panel layout, wiring schematics, and circuit design
Familiarity with VFDs, sensors, relays, and motor controls
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field preferred
