We are seeking a talented and innovative Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong 2D and 3D CAD design experience, a deep understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. You'll collaborate across departments, support sales and production, and play a key role in developing innovative, high-quality products from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and manage detailed CAD drawings, 3D models, layouts, and assemblies using advanced CAD software.

Perform accurate design calculations and apply engineering specifications to ensure product quality, fit, and finish.

Prepare and maintain all relevant documentation, including:

Assembly drawings

Detail part drawings for fabrication

Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Owner s manuals and checklists

Work on multiple projects in an organized, accurate, and timely manner.

Collaborate with sales and provide technical support for quoting and proposals. This may include:

Reviewing architectural plans and equipment lineups

Meeting with potential customers

Visiting restaurant or client locations

Assist with special engineering projects, cost estimating, and pricing development.

Coordinate with the model shop and manufacturing teams to ensure product designs are built to spec.

Ensure prompt and complete processing of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).

Maintain consistency in documentation and product nomenclature.

Participate in new product reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Follow all company policies, procedures, confidentiality agreements, and code of ethics.

Work independently with minimal supervision while aligning with production schedules and project priorities.

Apply in-depth knowledge of engineering hardware, software, and how it integrates with manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or related field (required)

3+ years of CAD design and 3D modeling experience

Proficiency with CAD software and related hardware

Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Experience with proposal development and architectural plan review a plus

Ability to travel locally for site visits as needed

Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-focused
