Position Summary
The Outer Caribbean Distributor Manager is responsible for leading the commercial strategy, sales execution, and distributor relationship management across the Outer Caribbean region. This senior role is critical to driving revenue growth, sustained distribution gains, market share expansion, and brand presence through a network of third-party distributors. The position requires strong leadership, cross-cultural communication, and deep market knowledge to manage complex business environments across diverse island nations. The role partners closely with local distributors and master distributors to ensure effective execution of sales, marketing, and trade strategies, while also collaborating internally with regional leadership, finance, supply chain, and marketing teams to deliver business objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and implement regional distribution strategies to achieve sales, volume, and profitability targets.
Manage relationships with key distributors, ensuring high performance through regular business reviews, joint business planning, and capability development (assessment).
Identify growth opportunities across markets and drive execution of route-to-market strategies.
Streamline distribution & logistical processes, increase reach, improve local market knowledge, cost savings, scalability and cost savings thru the correct Master Distributor definition and implementation
Lead annual forecasting and planning processes in collaboration with distributors and internal stakeholders (Supply – Demand Planning)
Ensure compliance with contracts, trade terms and pricing across the region.
Ability to influence all customers to flawlessly execute Company and Brand guidelines.
Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and regulatory changes to proactively adjust business plans.
Required Skills and Experience
Strategic & Commercial Acumen
Route-to-Market Strategy: Expertise in building and optimizing distributor networks.
Sales & Business Planning: Ability to develop, manage, and execute strategic business plans with clear KPIs.
P&L Management: Understanding of profit and loss statements, pricing strategies, and trade spend optimization.
Market Analysis: Strong skills in interpreting market data, competitive trends, and forecasting.
Distributor & Relationship Management
Distributor Development: Experience onboarding, training, and improving distributor performance.
Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate trade terms, pricing, and service levels.
Stakeholder Management: Skilled at building long-term relationships with both internal and external partners.
Leadership & Communication
Cross-Cultural Communication: Comfort working with diverse cultures across the Caribbean region.
Influencing & Collaboration: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain).
People Management: Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading a team (even indirectly through distributor teams).
Operational & Technical Skills
CRM & ERP Systems: Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, SAP, or similar systems.
Forecasting & Inventory Management: Understanding of demand planning and supply chain basics.
Trade Marketing Execution: Knowledge of how to execute brand and promotional strategies at the point of sale.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
· 7+ years of experience in sales or distributor management within FMCG, CPG, or a related industry, with at least 3 years in a regional or senior role.
· Deep understanding of the Outer Caribbean market landscape and distributor business models.
· Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with experience managing P&L and commercial planning.
· Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to influence across cultures and organizational levels.
· Fluent & proficiency in English.
Working Relationships
Reports directly to Sales Director, Distributors
Key relationships internally will include HR, MKT, Supply and Finance
Work Environment
Ability to lead processes / projects virtually
Understanding of multicultural differences across the markets in the region being respectful and careful with the way of communicating and interacting with the local teams and with Corporate
The position will be based in the Edgewell Bogotá offices
Work schedule: Hybrid Model 2 times at office from 8:00am – 5:00PM
Willingness to travel frequently across the region.
