Design Engineer

Design Engineer - Aerospace Technology - San Francisco, CA

We have partnered with a fast moving and innovative aerospace start-up based in San Francisco, California.

We are noew looking for a Design Engineer that will take ownership of structural hardware development, from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the design of mechanical hardware: CAD modeling (Siemens NX), detailed drawings, and GD&T

Lead design trade studies, factoring in materials, thermal and mechanical loading

Analyze and optimize structures using hand calculations and FEA

Design and assess structural joints (welded, brazed, and fastened)

Develop tooling and fixturing for prototyping and production builds

Assemble early prototypes, create work instructions, and support testing/debugging

What We’re Looking For

End-to-end hardware ownership mindset

Strong understanding of mechanical systems and how they integrate into broader assemblies

Skilled in grounding designs in physical principles and testing them like they fly
