Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an Android savvy Cyber Software Engineer to support a critical mission of consequence within our Cyber Mission Business Unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this position you will perform in a Cyber Network Operations role, doing a combination of software design, reverse engineering, and vulnerability research.
Responsibilities may include:
Develop software capabilities taking into account the underlying hardware on which they run
Optimize algorithms and software implementations in order to meet requirements such as binary size, utilization, and performance
Perform Agile development, accurately estimating the time to complete tasks
Respond to time-sensitive operational requirements
Understand how malware is detected by personal security products and/or network monitoring and methods to evade such detection
Develop and execute comprehensive testing of software products (e.g. unit tests, functional tests, and integration tests)
Develop software implants that have network communications and the ability to persist across reboots
Document software designs, explain performance tradeoffs made, and decompose high-level designs into specific software development tasks
Develop, find flaws in, and modify complex algorithms that span multiple layers of abstraction
Recommend new technologies and processes to achieve assigned goals

Qualifications
1 year experience with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering Science or a very closely related discipline.
1+ years of experience in Cybersecurity/Cyber Network Operations type software development
Experience with Python
Understanding of basic networking:
Native Android development experience (C, ARM assembly)
Reverse engineering experience
Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
