Senior Appian Developer

As a Senior Appian Developer, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and Appian consultants to design and implement scalable, end-to-end solutions using the Appian BPM platform. You will play a key role in modernizing workflows, integrating systems, and driving process automation across the business.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, and a proactive mindset for problem-solving in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop complex workflows, records, and process models using the Appian platform.

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and consultants to gather and translate requirements.

Build scalable and maintainable Appian applications aligned with enterprise architecture.

Support API and system integrations between Appian and external platforms (e.g., RESTful services).

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical documentation and code reviews.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to Appian development best practices.

Requirements:

3–5+ years of experience building applications using Appian (SAIL, CDTs, Records, Interfaces, Process Models).

Hands-on experience integrating Appian with APIs or external systems (REST, JSON/XML, etc.).

Background in object-oriented development, preferably in Java.

Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.

Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Appian Level 2 Developer Certification (Designer or Lead certifications preferred).

Previous experience in the insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industries.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience with other BPM/low-code tools (e.g., Pega, Mendix) is a plus.
