Job Title: Associate Producer for TV News

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Research & Content Development: Assist in researching topics, gathering information, and developing content that aligns with the show’s objectives and target audience.
Script Assistance: Support the Senior Producer in drafting, editing, and organizing scripts, ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, and ready for on-air delivery.
Guest Coordination: Collaborate with the production team to identify potential guests, conduct pre-interviews, and manage guest logistics, including scheduling and preparation for on-air appearances.
Production Support: Aid in the coordination of various production elements, including graphics, video packages, and other media assets, ensuring they are ready for broadcast.
On-Air Assistance: Provide support during live broadcasts or taped segments, helping to manage timing, cueing, and any last-minute changes.
Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with all team members, including producers, directors, and technical staff, to ensure smooth production operations.
Administrative Tasks: Handle various administrative duties such as organizing production schedules, maintaining contact lists, and updating production notes.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a LIVE NEWS environment.
Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with production tools and software, such as newsroom management systems, editing software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, with a positive and proactive attitude.
Passion for Media: A keen interest in news, current events, and television production.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred but not required.
