Job Description
Join a world-leading manufacturer specializing in high-pressure water jetting equipment, where precision engineering and diesel engine optimization drive innovation. We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to operate and set up CNC machines, contributing to our technically advanced products.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes, performing their own setups, tool changes, and offsets.
Edit G&M codes on the controller.
Read and interpret blueprints and guide sheets to ensure precise manufacturing.
Perform setups in a timely fashion and provide feedback to improve manufacturing processes.
Use standard measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauge pins.
Conduct basic inspections according to inspection sheets to meet specifications.
Setup gauging and use basic inspection equipment to verify print specifications.Essential Skills
4+ years of experience as a CNC Set up Tech/Machinist on Lathes.
Ability to perform own setups, tool changes, and offsets.
Proficient in G&M Code Edits on the controller.
Skillful blueprint reading and proper tool touch-off skills.
Basic math skills and ability to hold tight tolerances.
Experience using micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and bore gages.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prototype or production background.
Experience with CNC Lathe machining on Okuma machines is nice to have.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Enjoy working in a very clean, climate-controlled facility built in 2021. The workplace has various departments and areas, fostering a dynamic environment. The position is for the 1st shift, running from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with optional Saturdays.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wixom, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $56160.00/yr.
