Job Description

Abel Pet Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team!

Our assistants play an essential role in delivering outstanding care by supporting our doctors during exams, procedures, and throughout each pet’s visit. In this role, you'll assist with appointments and provide hands-on help during a variety of procedures. You’ll also keep medical records up to date, follow treatment plans, answer client questions, and help ensure the hospital stays organized and on track.

To support hospital flow and client service, you’ll also be cross-trained at the front desk- scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, and answering phones as needed. This role is a great fit for someone who is adaptable, upbeat, and enjoys pitching in wherever they’re needed.

This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday through Friday.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

Compensation: $19-21 per hour, for each hour worked*

Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

2+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting

Proficiency in the following skills:

Venipuncture and administering injections

Radiology positioning and technique

In house laboratory processing
