Perform calculations on gravity design by conceptualizing framing (layout framing), running calculations for all gravity elements, coordinating with architectural drawing, and using various engineering software to perform civil engineering activities; Utilize AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, and Revit LT to create and design the drawings of plans and details for construction documentation, exploration of design ideas, and visualizations of concepts through photorealistic rendering; Perform calculations on lateral design, participate in surveying to layout installations, and run calculations for MWFRS/shear walls, components, and cladding by using design software; Provide civil engineering project coordination by supporting civil engineering projects and ensuring projects are completed correctly and on time; Coordinating with clients and internal team members at project sites to develop civil engineering solutions; Perform drawing management by designing preliminary markups, coordinating drawing and detail with drafter, and communicating drawing with Project Engineer; Prepare a preliminary analysis of the framing and lateral system and preliminary design labs; Inspect project sites to monitor progress and conduct quality assurance test to ensure quality of projects to meet safety standards and specifications; Analyze structural systems to ensure efficiencies in design and construction; Provide civil engineering-based support for construction administration, site visits, field reports, and responding to requests for information; Prepare reports of specification and perform civil engineering-based quality assurance.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.

Job Location: 100% Remote Position. Reports to Company Headquarters in Beaufort, SC.

5 years of experience as Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Design Engineer, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained, and demonstrated experience in: Prepare preliminary analysis of framing, lateral system, and preliminary design labs; Conduct quality assurance test to ensure quality of projects to meet safety standards and specifications; Perform calculations on gravity design by conceptualizing framing (layout framing), running calculations for all gravity elements, coordinating with architectural drawing, and using civil engineering software; Utilize AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, and Revit LT to create and design drawings of plans and details for construction documentation, exploration of design ideas, and visualizations of concepts through photorealistic rendering; Perform calculations on lateral design, participate in surveying to layout installations, and run calculations for MWFRS/shear walls, components, and cladding by using design software; Provide civil engineering project coordination by supporting civil engineering projects and ensuring projects are completed correctly and on time; Coordinate with clients and internal team members to develop civil engineering solutions; Perform drawing management by designing preliminary markups, coordinating drawing and detail with drafter, and communicating drawing with Project Engineer; Analyze structural systems to ensure efficiencies in design and construction; Provide civil engineering-based support for construction administration, site visits, field reports, and responding to requests for information; Prepare reports of specification and perform civil engineering-based quality assurance.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
