Die Cutter Operator

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Hours: 2 PM to 10 PM Pay: $24 an hour.

Set-up and run any of the die cutting equipment, maintaining good quality, productivity, and work attitude.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Set-up and run required jobs.

· Have necessary knowledge of required hand tools and be able to measure in fractions of inches up to and including 32nds.

· Maintain standard of quality.

· Report any problems and/or discrepancies to the Group Leader/Department Manager.

· Keep work area clean and orderly.

· Work overtime when needed.

· Report accurate time and quantities using the MIS systems.

· Perform other tasks as requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to stand for 8 or more hours

· Ability to lift, push, pull up to 70 lbs.

· Ability to visually inspect all work for defects

· Manual dexterity for repetitive work

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

· High school diploma or equivalent/Technical or equivalent experience

· 1-year die cutting experience on any material

· Ability to communicate/understand written as well as oral instructions

· Thorough understanding of bindery equipment operation

· Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up

· Basic Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

· Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation

· Demonstrates positive safety attitude
