Job Title: Fire Protection Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team in Charleston. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing fire protection systems and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design fire protection systems for buildings and facilities.

Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify fire hazards.

Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate fire protection measures into building designs.

Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports.

Perform hydraulic calculations and analyses for water-based fire suppression systems.

Review and approve fire protection submittals from contractors.

Conduct inspections and tests of fire protection systems.

Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.

Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering.

Strong knowledge of fire codes, standards, and regulations.

Proficiency in fire protection system design software.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
