Description: Provide a nutritious, safe, and healthy meals to students; prepare and serve food items; run POS machine; clean up kitchen.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Food Service experience preferred
Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license

Essential Functions:

Prepare foods according to menu and production records
Pre-portion or dish-up foods as required
Setup serving line
Stock milk cooler and snack carts
Stock trays, cutlery, paper goods etc. as needed
Serve foods to students and staff
Collect money during meal service; write Café Money Reminders as required
Verify that all meals served meet school lunch program requirements
Verify unused food quantities; assure all leftovers and properly and safely stored
Wash all trays, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and store properly
Clean all equipment and work surfaces after use
Balance cash register and complete required paperwork
Make bank deposit if acting as head cook
Assist in checking in orders and putting deliveries away
Offer menu and recipe suggestions
Make contacts with the public with tact and diplomacy
Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
Outstanding attendance and punctuality
Interact in a positive manner with staff, students and parents
Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude, and conversation
Complete required annual Continued Education, Civil Rights training and HACCP training
Attend meetings and in-services as required
