Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in signal processing and practical experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing DSP algorithms for various applications. As a DSP Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge projects that involve the development of innovative solutions for processing and analyzing digital signals in real-time.
Essential Functions:
Design, develop, and implement of advanced DSP algorithms for various applications, including audio and data communications processing.
Optimize DSP algorithms for performance, power consumption, and memory usage on various hardware platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects, to integrate DSP solutions into products.
Conduct simulations and performance analysis to validate and refine DSP algorithms.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in DSP technology and apply new techniques and methodologies to improve existing solutions.
Contribute to the strategic direction of DSP solutions and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Ability to Obtain a US Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in Embedded Software or DSP.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems design.
Development experience with the Linux OS
Proficiency with C, C++
Proficiency with multi-threaded, multi-core design and/or real-time operating systems
Experience with object-oriented design
Understanding of Design, Implementation and Testing of large software systems
Experience with software emulators/debuggers
Experience with Git/Bitbucket, JIRA
Experience with the Agile Methodology
Creativity in problem solving.
