Job Description
Pay: $23.00 per hour (Base hourly rate + shift differential for working off shift).
PTO/Holidays: 80 hours of holiday pay plus generous PTO.
Bonus: Quarterly incentive bonuses.
Overtime: Available but not mandatory.
The QC Chemist/Lab Technician associate will be responsible for all chemical processing tanks, obtaining samples and adjusting chemistry as necessary. This associate will use software for guidance on how often to pull and test samples. This role involves an understanding of wet chemical processes and following test methods to ensure our documentation meets all regulatory requirements.
Duties and responsibilities:
Collect samples from manufacturing processes-Chemical sampling and analysis for all process tanks utilizing wet chemical titrations, pH measurements, and use of an auto titration unit.
Utilize software to track and monitor tank conditions and trends which support our quality requirements.
Calibrate laboratory equipment.
Problem solve with department leaders and manufacturing associates when problems arise.
Perform PM activities of tanks including filter changes calibrating controllers, and cleaning.
Maintain a neat and orderly lab.
Ability to wear appropriate full PPE for extended periods of time.
Safely mix and add chemicals, follow chemical transportation policies, and procedures.
Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing and support processes to create cost reductions and improve performance.
Repair basic mechanical components, troubleshoot equipment issues, and replace parts as necessary.
Experience with operating material handling and lifting devices, ability to move heavy drums when required.
Ability to use drum pumps for chemical transfers.
Required Qualifications:
3 years of experience in wet chemical processing within a laboratory or manufacturing environment is preferred.
General understanding of chemistry, math, and statistics.
Safety mindset, ability to push/pull full drums, transfer chemicals safely.
Ability to make chemical adjustments when necessary.
Communicate and collaborate with staff to ensure tanks are operating nominally.
Work with appropriate personnel to maintain chemical related equipment.
Adhere to industry standards, policies, and procedures.
Ability to manage and document multiple projects on a continuous basis.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills a must-must be comfortable working independently.
