Title: Office Facilities Maintenance Assistant
Location: Washington, DC (Local candidates only)
Payrate: $25-$28/hour (Weekly pay + Medical Benefits)
Duration: Long-term ongoing contract (Based on performance)
Hours: 40 hours/week MondayFriday 8:30am5:30pm

What You'll Do:
Conduct daily office walkthroughs to maintain pristine, organized work environments
Respond promptly to work orders while delivering exceptional customer service
Master ticketing and CMMS technology systems to streamline operations
Complete preventative maintenance tasks for all onsite assets within scheduled timelines
Handle minor repair projects including HVAC filter replacement, furniture assembly, and patch/paint work
Serve as the coordination point for vendor escorts and service providers, ensuring seamless execution
Support events, meetings, and conference facilities to enable business success
Take initiative to identify and resolve issues before they become problems
Maintain attention to detail with a discerning eye for operational excellence
Provide on-call support for critical incidents when needed
What You Bring:
1+ years of facilities, handyman, corporate, hospitality, or property management experience
Genuine enjoyment working with your hands and solving practical problems
Experience assembling furniture and following technical directions
Ability to change HVAC filters and perform basic maintenance tasks
Skills in minor repairs (patching, painting) and preventive maintenance
Strong computer skills and ability to learn ticketing systems
Sharp eye for detail and proactive problem-solving mindset
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb 10-foot ladders
Eagerness to learn and grow your facilities management career
Availability for occasional on-call duties and weekend work
Bonus Points If You Have:
Corporate facilities management experience
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Background in hospitality or high-standard environments
Handyman certification or technical training
Experience supporting events and conference facilities
Strong customer service background
