Full Job Description:
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all requirements of the ISO Quality System standard are implemented and maintained.
The Quality Manager is over-all responsible for Quality incoming and outgoing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain the health and safety of the workforce including the enforcement of all HSE regulations, policies, procedures, rules and programs.
Enforcing and application of all Company regulations, policies, procedures, rules and programs.
Determine departmental goals and then assure they are met.
Manage the overall operational, budgetary and financial responsibilities and activities of the department.
Develop an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes safety, quality, continuous improvement, employee retention and development and high performance.
Responsible for departmental training of all personnel and assists with all company training programs.
Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the Quality Control process (Includes customer specification implementation as relates to sampling, testing and reporting results-COA per shipment).
Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the Final Control process.
(Includes customer specification implementation as relates to packing and packaging finished product).
Plans, organizes and controls all activities of Quality Assurance (Technician daily auditing and document control data entry and reporting).
Maintains and controls all four levels of documentation: (Level 1-Quality Systems Manual, Level 2- Standard Procedures, Level 3- Work Instructions and Level 4- Quality Records).
Manages and implements the Internal Systems Audits (Quality, Environmental and Safety) through scheduling, carrying out, reporting and following up.
Continue your personal ongoing development
Collects, compiles and analyzes data for customer satisfaction (claims, complaints, returns and customer visits).
Maintains and tracks corrective actions (internal and external- customer and/or supplier).
Schedules and maintains results of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
Maintains a current control plan (steel cord).
Provides Return Material Authorization Number (RMA#) for customer returns.
Holds an annual Quality Management Review with Top Management (audit results, customer feedback, process performance, status of corrective and preventive actions, follow up from previous review, needs for changes to QMS and recommendations for improvement).
Participates in New Hire Orientation (Quality Policy and QA Core Values)
Ensure Micrometer calibration is carried our per schedule (twice yearly)
Approves any deviation from standards (if / when necessary)
Schedules a monthly staff audit (used to aid in direction of possible training needs)
Able to delegate responsibility and expect accountability
Complete required safety and quality audits
Manage and maintain departmental 5S
Any other duties as needed or assigned.
