Robotic Controls Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Robotics Engineer who brings deep technical expertise and hands-on experience in robotic systems integration. In this role, you will lead the design, programming, and commissioning of robotic automation solutions for custom-built machinery. You will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams—including mechanical engineers, controls engineers, and electricians—to ensure seamless project execution from concept through installation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the integration of industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, Universal Robots) into automation systems.

Program robotic systems for tasks such as pick-and-place, welding, assembly, and material handling.

Collaborate on custom automation designs with both mechanical and electrical engineering teams.

Configure and troubleshoot vision systems for part recognition, quality inspection, and alignment.

Design and support integration of robotic work cells with PLC and HMI platforms (primarily Rockwell, Omron, Mitsubishi; Siemens is a plus).

Oversee servo motion system integration and tuning.

Develop and maintain electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.

Provide on-site support for robot installation, startup, debugging, and final commissioning.
